Previous season dancers Twitch, Comfort, Courtney, Anya, Lauren, Neil, Allison, Mark, Pasha, Kathryn, Ade and Dominic will be the All-Stars in this new SYTYCD season beginning tonight. The format will be different this time. I love watching these fabulous young dancers get better week by week in dance forms with which they may have had no previous exposure. On the other hand, every season the show gets more and more slick, on bigger, fancier stages and with changes that I don't necessarily appreciate. Alas. Still, I am looking forward to a new season of dancers.
And thanks, So You Think You Can Dance, for inspiring me to return to my roots in dance as a dance/movement therapist. Photos coming of the terrific improvisation class that I'm taking, Dancing Outside the Lines, with dancer, dance teacher extraordinaire, and choreographer, Joan Green. This season's class was the best yet.
