Alzheimer's Disease International is a wonderful resource with loads of ideas and articles about Alzheimer's and dementia.

"Expressive movement is every human's birthright. Modern life has certain physical, psychological and spiritual imbalances which need to be redressed by active programs that engage, encourage, and even enthrall individuals with the full breath, depth, and height of human experience.
Community needs each individual and each individual needs community. Our task is to help weave them into a healing living whole."
I am a member of such an intergenerational modern dance company in Boston. Back Pocket Dancers will be performing DANCE ME A STORY at Morville House, an elderly housing complex in Boston, on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. We've been there before, performing and teaching, and always have a great time!
Below are photos of Back Pocket Dancers dancing at Dance for World Community in Cambridge this past June.
We even danced with the Octaband. How many dancers do you see in this photo?
Back Pocket Dancers began as an offshoot of Back Porch Dance Company, which performed for more than 50 audiences from 1999 through 2003. One audience member at West Medford Community Center wrote "This extraordinary performance leads me to embrace life anew. I want to live. I want to dance. I want to sing."
